Description
The smart AutoCal is an automatic testing and calibration station for gas detection and measurement devices. It supports network operators, municipal utilities and service providers in carrying out standard-compliant calibration, adjustment and functional testing in accordance with DVGW G 465.
Instead of manual individual tests, the smart AutoCal enables a standardised and reproducible testing process with clear device allocation, including digital documentation.
Thanks to the automated process, not only is the testing workload significantly reduced, but process reliability is also increased. This means users always have a clear overview of the device’s status, regardless of whether the station is being used in the workshop, in the office or in a vehicle.
Features & Benefits of the smart AutoCal
- Compliance with DVGW G 465 requirements
- Automatic calibration, adjustment or bump test

Automatic calibration and reliable documentation with the smart AutoCal
Calibration and adjustment – or, depending on the application, a daily bump test of gas detectors – are mandatory requirements. In practice, however, these are often carried out manually and documented in varying ways. The smart AutoCal establishes a uniform digital standard in this regard.
As an automatic test station for our explosion-proof OLLI, the smart AutoCal carries out calibrations, adjustments and bump tests fully automatically. In addition, the pump function of the connected device is checked during the test process. The OLLI is simply connected to the smart AutoCal via a hose. The entire remainder of the test procedure is automated.
The smart AutoCal operates with three permanently integrated test gases:
- 1,000 ppm CH₄ (Ecomini)
- 5-component / 4-component gas mix (Ecomini)
- 100 vol.% CH₄ (Ecomini)
During the test, the connected device is uniquely identified by its serial number. Calibration, adjustment and bump testing are carried out according to a predefined sequence. Upon completion, the digital test report is automatically generated and uploaded to the Esders Cloud via LTE. This makes it possible to track at any time which device was tested, when it was tested and what its current status is.
