Description
ELLI is an innovative, portable LDAR (leak detection and repair) laser measuring device that allows difficult or inaccessible areas and hazardous areas to be conveniently monitored from a distance. As a highly specialised system for detecting methane, it is ideal for checking the tightness of biogas and natural gas systems. Methane can be reliably detected even from distances of 30 metres. TDLAS (Tunable Diode Laser Absorption Spectroscopy) detection technology enables users to reliably detect methane from a distance. To do this, the laser beam simply needs to be directed at the area to be checked. This detection technology therefore creates significant added value for the user, who no longer has to enter a potentially hazardous area to check pipes. Only in the event of a gas leak does appropriately trained personnel need to be deployed to check and seal the identified leak. Until now, detecting gas leaks using conventional flame ionisation or semiconductor gas detectors has been very complex and, above all, time-consuming and costly. Thanks to this significantly reduced inspection effort, the inspection of gas-carrying systems or pipelines is very cost-effective compared to conventional inspection methods.
