Meets the requirements of the EU Methane Regulation

The reduction of methane emissions in the gas grid has been an ambitious project for years and is getting more and more attention due to the EU Methane Regulation. Flaring of natural gas is a common method to significantly reduce operational methane emissions (blow-off emissions during flushing).

Recently, the method has also been anchored in the newly published DVGW Code of Practice G 404. Against the background of increasing hydrogen feed-in and individual hydrogen pipelines, flaring of hydrogen is also gaining in importance. Mobile flares are described in G 404 as an effective tool for reducing gas emissions. This applies equally to the low, medium and high pressure ranges. We offer you the right mobile flare for every case of application.

Variants

The Mobile Gas Flare S was specially developed for house connections or mains connection lines. It is extremely compact and ready for use in just a few minutes.

The Mobile Gas Flare M has a throughput approx. four times greater than the Mobile Flare S and is used for flaring gas in the low- and medium-pressure network in the area of the distribution pipelines. It is also compact and quickly ready for use.

The Mobile Gas Flare L has an even greater throughput and is intended for the medium- and high-pressure network. Due to its height of approx. 2.5 m, it consists of two parts that can be assembled in just a few minutes without any additional tools.

All flares have an integrated continuous ignition for stable combustion and a flame arrester to protect the pipeline. The Mobile Gas Flare L also has a pilot flame with which the gas mixture is ignited.

Safe emptying of LPG tanks

Our Mobile Gas Flares offer safety and efficiency, as well as easy handling for environmentally friendly disposal of liquid gas residues. Thanks to the robust and compact design of the flares, they are ideal for everyday workshop use or mobile specialised operations.

LPG tanks may only be emptied by siphoning or flaring in a specially designated area. Please refer to the extracts from the DGUV, the DVFG and the TAK.

Measurement of gas volume

Our mobile gas flares are designed for flaring gas as part of gassing and degassing processes. Flaring natural gas is many times more environmentally friendly than simply venting it, as the natural gas is not released directly into the atmosphere and the climate impact of the exhaust gas is reduced by a factor of 25.

When purging pipelines, our Mobile Gas Flares can be used in combination with the gas measuring device OLLI to measure the gas volume in the pipe. This also records the amount of methane or propane flared. This is important in the context of the documentation requirement for network operators arising from the EU Regulation to reduce methane emissions. The requirements of the DVGW regulations G 465-2 and G 404 are also implemented.
