Option: Geothermal probe testing EN 805 - 222636
Inspection of geothermal probes
Geothermal probes are a central element of geothermal systems and must remain permanently sealed throughout their entire service life. Even the smallest leaks can lead to efficiency losses, damage to the subsoil or environmental risks. The quality assurance requirements for new installations are correspondingly high.
Leak testing of geothermal probes serves to verify proper installation and is often a requirement for official approvals or technical regulations at state and municipal level. In practice, pressure testing methods are used for this purpose, in which the probe is pressure tested and monitored over a defined period of time.
It is not only crucial that the test is carried out professionally, but also that the measurement results are documented completely and comprehensibly.
Which pressure testing method is suitable and permitted for geothermal probes? Read the details in our blog – Leak testing of geothermal probes with the smart memo.
Option: Geothermal probe testing EN 805
This option supports users in the structured performance of pressure tests on geothermal probes and ensures standard-compliant, digital documentation of all relevant test procedures.
During the test, pressure and time curves are continuously recorded and stored in the smart memo. With the appropriate accessories, the test can be performed fully automatically (similar to that described here). The measurement results are clearly displayed and automatically compiled in a test report – eliminating error-prone manual recordings.
The programmed test procedure is similar to the contraction method according to EN 805, and therefore complies with the most common requirement in regulations that a leak test of geothermal probes should be carried out “in accordance with EN 805”.
As the SIA 384/6 standard currently contains the only clearly specified, traceable and comparable adaptations of the EN 805 contraction method for geothermal probes, details of the leak test in accordance with SIA 384/6 have been incorporated into smart memo.
The EN 805 geothermal probe test option in smart memo provides users with a powerful tool for efficient, safe and traceable leak testing of geothermal probes.
