Description of the GOLIATH Biogas analyser
In the field of biogas, landfill gas and sewage treatment plant gas production, monitoring and controlling the gas composition, as well as monitoring the plants for unauthorised gas leaks, is an integral part of the work processes. The GOLIATH is ready for use after a short warm-up period and guarantees clear and very rapid results. The infrared measurement technology used displays the concentrations of methane and carbon dioxide in well under 10 seconds. The robust, shock-resistant device is easy to operate. All measured values can be read on the clear, backlit display and saved if required.
LDAR - Leak detection and repair of methane and carbon dioxide
The GOLIATH biogas offers another menu item „leak detection“. This enables the detection of leaks in pipes and connection points as an additional application.
In addition, the device can optionally be used for 24/7 continuous monitoring (outside the explosion-hazard zone) via software.
Documentation of measurements
- Data transfer to a PC directly via the charging and communication station
- Network-compatible PC software with extensive functions for detailed description and storage of measurements in a database
- Output of reports in PDF and HTML formats
- During continuous measurement (24/7), automated data logging takes place at a selectable interval (from 15 minutes) as a .csv file
Features of the GOLIATH Biogas portable gas analyser
- The use of infrared sensors for CH4 and CO2 ensures a rapid stabilisation phase and extremely short response times during measurement, whilst eliminating cross-sensitivity to other gases
- An oxygen and a hydrogen sulphide sensor are available as options
- In the H2S range, the measuring range has been specifically set at 2,000 ppm, thereby optimally meeting the requirements for use in biogas plants
- Optional software for 24/7 monitoring
