This year, we were delighted to welcome seven apprentices to our company.
They are Tim and Annika (electronics technicians specialising in equipment and systems), Diana and Adrian (IT specialists in application development),
Paul and Kristin (industrial business administrators) and Bennet (e-commerce business administrator).
Arriving and Settling In
The first day began with a relaxed introduction to help everyone ease into their new roles.
Once all seven new starters had arrived, we held an official welcome session. During this session, the new starters received essential information about the training programme and were introduced to their trainers and the trainee blog.
Stefan Esders then led a guided tour of the entire company to help everyone find their way to their respective workstations. As well as exploring the facilities, the group observed the modern technology of our AutoStore warehouse, including the robots and production areas.
They also gained insights into how Esders’ testing and measurement technology is developed, which highlights our commitment to producing items that are ‘Made in Germany’.
Building Connections and Starting Work
Following the tour, all apprentices and trainers gathered for a communal breakfast. This provided a wonderful opportunity to get to know one another better and engage in informal conversation.
Afterwards, the apprentices headed to their specific departments. There, they had the chance to familiarise themselves with their new workplaces, settle in, and begin their very first tasks.
And so the week continued
During the first week, the focus was on how Esders approaches work processes, health and safety, and teamwork.
As the week progressed, the new trainees attended seminars and completed their first practical tasks.
This structured introduction will continue in the coming weeks, giving the trainees time to settle in and get to know the company and its processes even better.
We are very much looking forward to the future with you and wish you a wonderful and successful start to your training, as well as an exciting time at Esders!
