Two days full of insights into the world of work: Pupils from Hasetal Secondary School in Herzlake visited Esders
As part of the ‘Mein mutiger Weg’ (My Courageous Path) project, we welcomed six enthusiastic students from the Hasetal secondary school in Herzlake to our company last week. The project aims to encourage young people to discover their own strengths and gain initial professional experience – and we are delighted to have been able to play a part in it!
On Tuesday, the students were warmly welcomed by training coordinator Christina Osterman. After a brief presentation of the various departments, the young people were given the opportunity to choose an area they would like to explore first.
The options were:
- Logistics
- Sales
- Purchasing
- Service scheduling
- Accessories
- Production
The students rotated between departments throughout the day to learn as much as possible about our company. For example, they were able to assemble cables, get to know the sales and accounting departments, demonstrate their creative approach in marketing, and experience the technical processes in production. A look behind the scenes of our production was particularly popular: with screwing, tinkering and lots of hands-on experience, there was something for everyone. One highlight was soldering a small mood barometer themselves. This allowed the students to demonstrate their manual skills. With a great deal of concentration and curiosity, they achieved some really impressive results. The feedback from the young people was overwhelmingly positive. They were impressed by the variety of careers available at a medium-sized technology company like Esders. Even though some of them already know exactly what they want to study in the future, they were able to experience everyday working life at Esders.
A big thank you goes to all our colleagues who welcomed and accompanied the young people. And, of course, to the school pupils themselves: for their commitment, questions and openness. We hope that you have come a step further on your ‘courageous path’ with us!
We look forward to your next visit!
